DLR Arts Office invites applications from professional musicians and performers under the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme funded by The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media
The aim of this scheme is to facilitate programming of outdoor live performances in Summer 2021. Performances will take place in a selection of outdoor public spaces throughout Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. The programme will be selected by an external curator; please note that feedback on applications will not be offered.
Each performance will be approximately 30-45 minutes. Applicants should note that the outdoor set up will consist of simple staging with basic PA which would suit a performer/ group with straightforward mic’ing requirements (i.e. no monitors or additional effects). Performers will be responsible for loading in and handling their own instruments/equipment. Event management, publicity, and other associated costs will be covered by DLR and the fee to performers does not need to budget for these.
Indicative payment range per performance will be between €250 and €600 for individual performers and €500 and €1200 for groups. It is envisaged in the majority cases that selected performers will be offered one performance.
Eligibility
The scheme is open to professional performers and musicians only. All genres of performance are invited to apply (music, dance, circus, spectacle).
Performers / Musicians must live in or work in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
Performances will be scheduled in various outdoor locations in the period July to September 2021 and some flexibility around dates may be required.
All applicants agree to abide to health and safety requirements.
Should public health restrictions change, or in the event that Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council deem this to be more appropriate, performances may be recorded or streamed.
