Heritage Grants are available for groups and individuals who are undertaking heritage events, publications, exhibitions and projects. Heritage is defined in the Heritage Act as including archaeological monuments and objects, industrial heritage, documents and genealogical records, architectural heritage, flora and fauna, wildlife habitats, landscapes, seascapes, wrecks, geology, rivers and streams, heritage gardens and parks. The proposal must be specifically related to the heritage of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
The maximum grant for any single project is €5,000 and the grant will fund 70% of total costs.
Eligibility

1. The subject matter of all applications under this grant must relate to Heritage as defined above.
2. There must be a level of public engagement in the event/project for it to be considered and it is desirable that aspects of the project will be shared on the National Heritage Week 2022 online portal.
3. Grant funding is not available for general operating, travel or administrative expenses; printed programmes which solicit advertising; off-site hospitality or social functions; prize money; or to cover loans, debts, fundraising or the hire of Council premises.
