Justice and Peace, Youth Arts Exhibition is open to all artists between the ages of 12 and 17 living, working, attending school or training in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County.

To enter fill in your details on this online form. Then upload an image or video of your artwork. Finally confirm that you have consent from a parent or guardian to enter.

The artwork you enter must be connected to the theme of Justice and Peace.

The artworks that will be selected by a group of young people working with artist Ciara Keegan. These artworks will be on show in the Gallery on Level 3 in dlr LexIcon in Dún Laoghaire from the 9 December 2023 until the 25 February. 2024. There will be prizes given as part of the exhibition by the young people.

There are three categories for entry
  • 12-14 years
  • 15-17 years.
  • An application from a group of young people.

Eligibility

Artists must live in, work in or attend school or training in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County.
Artists must be between the ages of 12 and 17.
A maximum of one application will be accepted from any one individual or group.
No late applications will be accepted.

Selected artworks must be delivered to the Gallery, Level 3, dlr LexIcon on:
  • Wednesday 29 November 2023 from 3-7pm or
  • Saturday 2 of December 2023 from 1am -4pm.

Selected artworks must be collected following the exhibition on:
  • Wednesday 28 February 2024 from 4-7pm or
  • Saturday 2 March 2024 from 11am -3pm

If your artwork is selected it must be:
  • Ready to display (this means that it will be in a frame or that you are happy for it be hung in the Gallery as it is).

We have a limited number of standard frames available (A4, A3, A2).
If you need one please confirm on the application form.

2 Dimensional artworks must be no larger than 230cm high, including any frame (no width restriction).
These artworks must be strung, ready to hang.

3 Dimensional artworks must be no larger than 100cm wide and 200cm high.

Video/film/animation pieces must be viewable on a standard TV; sound will be via headphones.

The Gallery enjoys a huge range of visitors and audiences from a diverse range of backgrounds. We welcome visitors of all ages from young children to adults and older people. It is important that exhibited work should be suitable for viewing by all.

The Arts Office reserves the right to photograph the exhibition and all works on display for publicity and PR purposes.

The Exhibition is being administered by Artscope on behalf of dlr Arts Office. Artist Ciara Keegan will be working on the exhibition.
