This grant is to support the professional development of individual artists in any artform (music, theatre dance, film, visual art, literature, architecture, circus, craft, opera, street art or traditional arts)
Funding is for the period January and December 2026.
That could mean funding for:
Time to work on a specific project
Taking a short course or attending training
Buying materials
Studio development or support
Eligibility
Who Can Apply
Individual Artists who live or work in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown
You can only apply for one Arts grant. If you are applying to other council grants you must state this in your application.
What’s Not Covered
The grantwon’t pay for:
Projects already funded by dlr
Loans or debts
Charity events
Commercial projects
International travel
University or college education
Hiring Council buildings
Giving the money to someone else (third-party grants)
No late applications will be accepted
How Much Can You Apply For?
The maximum grant is €3,000
How Applications Are Judged
Your application will be scored based on:
Quality of your past work (35 points)
Quality of your proposal; you must demonstrate how the funding would benefit your professional development as an artist (35 points)
Feasibility of the proposal; including ability to achieve on time and within budget(30 points)
Because funding is limited, proposals with greater need may be prioritised
